The World Fund for Development and Planning (WFDP) was honored to participate in the Grand Opening Ceremony of Kastan Mentoring Somalia in Mogadishu, represented by Mr. Abdiaziz Kasim Mohamud, Head of Programs – WFDP Mission to the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The initiative, organized by the UK-based Kastan Mentoring Organization, seeks to empower Somali youth through mentorship, education, leadership development, skills training, and access to opportunities that enable them to become active contributors to their communities and the nation’s sustainable development.
During the ceremony, Mr. Abdiaziz reaffirmed WFDP’s unwavering commitment to empowering young people and emphasized that investing in youth is one of the most effective pathways to achieving sustainable development, strengthening social cohesion, and building resilient communities.
He highlighted that education, leadership development, innovation, and skills empowerment are essential pillars for preparing the next generation of leaders who will shape Somalia’s future. He also expressed WFDP’s readiness to collaborate with organizations that share a common vision of creating meaningful opportunities for young people and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals.
WFDP congratulates Kastan Mentoring Somalia on this important milestone and looks forward to continued collaboration in support of youth empowerment and sustainable development across Somalia.
